Meet Mrs. Blacconeri
Mrs. Monica Blacconeri has been teaching music to youngsters since graduating from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in 2005. As a full-time elementary school music teacher in Evanston/Skokie School District 65, she has taught general music, computer science, chorus, and percussion to thousands of students in kindergarten through fifth grade at Oakton, Orrington, Walker, and Willard Elementary Schools.
Mrs. Blacconeri knew she wanted to be a music teacher from a very young age when she began singing with the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus at age 7. And she's been singing in choirs ever since! After school, Mrs. Blacconeri sings professionally as a member of the Chicago Chamber Choir.
Mrs. Blacconeri resides in Rogers Park with her wife and daughter!
